Through-machine tap DIN 371 B HSSE SUPREME 900X – Koronet

The Koronet SUPREME 900X machine tap is a premium tool designed for precise internal threading in structural steels, alloy steels and materials that require a stable, repeatable cutting process. Made of high-grade high-speed HSSE steel and equipped with an AlCrN coating, it provides increased wear resistance and high tool life compared to traditional TiN-coated taps.

• HSSE steel – high resistance and stability of operation

The tap is made of high-speed HSSE steel, combining good impact strength with increased resistance to torsional loads. This ensures that the tool works stably even in materials with greater strength.

• Premium coating – SUPREME 900X AlCrN

The modern AlCrN-based coating is characterized by:
– high abrasion resistance,
– increased thermal stability,
– limiting chip adhesion,
– better tool life compared to TiN/TiCN coatings.

This allows for safe operation at higher parameters and in more difficult steel grades.

• Straight geometry – for through-holes

Straight grooves provide linear guidance and efficient chip output in the opposite direction to the tool rotation, which is optimal for threading through holes.

The tap has a reinforced handle typical of DIN 371, which increases its resistance to bending and improves the stability of handling during operation.

• Version B – 4-5 chamfer turns

The B-type cut allows easy tool insertion and ensures safe thread formation in through holes. It is a universal and most commonly used geometry in workshop and industrial production.
