Bimetal band saw for woodworking in ORO (Sharpened Open Sharpened) technology.
Bimetal saws, unlike monolithic saws, are made of two types of steel. The carrier tape, made of highly flexible, fracture-resistant spring steel, is connected by an electron beam to an abrasion-resistant high-quality high-speed steel. The tests and analyses carried out have shown that the bi-metal saw is several times more efficient, characterized by a longer service life than saws made of alloy tool steel. This allows for a significant increase in efficiency and, consequently, a reduction in labor costs.
Why is this saw the best?
1. Modern production technology.
2. Blade made of high-speed steel with double cobalt content.
Hardness: 67-69 HRC
3. Carrier tape made of premium steel with increased flexibility.
Hardness: 48-50 HRC
4. Adapted to very difficult working conditions, e.g.
hardwood, frozen, unbarked, sanded, wood with metal inclusions.
5. Saw Operating Time:
Saw specification:
| Blade | 67/69 HRC |
| Saw | 48/50 HRC |
| Cooling | The saw requires abundant cooling to avoid overheating |
| Stress | 170-175 Mpa |
| Opening | 0.45-0.50/page (opening to 1/2 of the height measured from the top) depending on the type of wood to be cut and the width of the strip |
| Sharpening | Electrocorundum grinding wheel or BORAZON grinding wheel with oil cooling |
| Saw | two shifts (approx. 1.5 hours of work + 8 hours of rest) = First sharpening |
| Saw | operation at a 50% reduced longitudinal feed for 10 min |
Bimetal saw blades come in the following types:
| Width | Thickness | Scale |
| 35 | 0.9 | 22.2 |
| 35 | 1.1 | 22.2 |
