RÖNTGEN bi bi-metal saw – alpha cobalt M42
The RÖNTGEN bi – alpha cobalt M42 bimetal band saw is made of 8% cobalt-refined M42 high-speed steel connected by an electron beam to a spring steel carrier band.
The RÖNTGEN bi-alfa cobalt band saw blade has HSS-M42 tooth tips. The high wear resistance of the saw blade is due to the high hardness and uniform distribution of carbides on the tips of the teeth created during the hardening and tempering processes.
The martensitic structure of the tooth tips and the high cobalt content ensure high hardness when heated, so that the cutting belt wears less even at high speed. The chrome support belt serves to make the saw blade more resistant to the bending, stress and pressure that are produced in modern saws.
