The Koronet long machine tap, made in accordance with DIN 357, is designed for the production of ISO metric internal threads in workshop and production conditions. The tool is designed for stable, repeatable machine operation, where process control and even cutting load are important.

DIN 357 standard – extended cut and lower cutting resistance

Compliance with DIN 357 means the use of an elongated cut that ensures:

  • smoother entry of the tool into the material,

  • gradual increase in cutting load,

  • reduction of cutting resistance,

  • more stable threading process.
