Carbide Band Saw for Aluminum Röntgen HM-Titan ALU2
HM – Hartmetall (German) = carbide tipped. It means that the saw teeth have tips made of carbide, which ensures high durability and abrasion resistance.
Titan is the trade name of the Röntgen series. It symbolizes durability and destiny for cutting the most demanding materials.
ALU – short for Aluminium. Indicates that the blade is optimized for cutting aluminum and non-ferrous metals (e.g., copper, bronze, light alloys).
2 – designation of the second generation of the structure. It has a 3-chip geometry – the full cross-section of the material is not cut by one tooth, but by three consecutive teeth. Reinforced base tape and better copes with castings and aluminum alloys containing large amounts of silica (highly abrasive materials).
Product Description
HM-Titan ALU2 is a specialized carbide-tipped saw band designed for fast and precise cutting of aluminum and non-ferrous metals. The 3-chip geometry used allows the chip to be divided into smaller fragments, which ensures a smooth cut, less strain on the teeth and significantly extended tool life. With a reinforced base tape, the ALU2 can operate at high speeds and aggressive feeds, maintaining stability and high cutting quality.
Key features
-
High-performance carbide tipped.
-
3-chip geometry – divides the chip into three fragments, reducing blade wear and improving chip evacuation.
-
Specially designed for aluminium and non-ferrous alloys (also with a high silica content).
-
Exceptional abrasion resistance and high tool life.
-
Stable base tape with increased fatigue resistance – allows you to cut at high speeds and feeds.
Application
-
Cutting blocks, castings, plates and aluminum profiles.
-
Machining of casting channels (gates and risers) and other aluminum production details.
-
Work with a wide range of non-ferrous metals (copper, bronze, light alloys).
-
Ideal for industrial processes where high cutting performance and repeatability are required.
Available tooth sizes and pitches (TPI)
Benefits for the user
-
High productivity thanks to the ability to work at high speeds and aggressive feed.
-
Longer tool life even when cutting abrasive materials (e.g. castings with high silicon content).
-
Stable and quiet operation, clean cutting surface.
-
The optimal solution for the foundry industry and aluminium processing companies.
