Professional MF Precision Fine Threading Tap
The Koronet SUPREME 900X machine tap is a premium tool designed for precision metric fine-turn threads in structural steels, alloy steels and high-strength materials.
Made of high-quality high-speed HSSE steel and equipped with an AlCrN coating, it ensures a stable cutting process, high wear resistance and a significantly longer service life compared to typical TiN/TiCN coated taps.
The core of the tool is made of improved high-speed HSSE steel, providing:
high resistance to torsional loads,
stability of operation in steels with higher hardness,
Reduced risk of chipping when threading materials that are more difficult to process.
It is a material of choice where repeatability and reliability are important.
An advanced coating from the AlCrN group provides:
very high abrasion resistance,
increased thermal stability,
reduction of material adhesion and build-up,
significantly longer service life than TiN/TiCN coatings.
This allows the tool to work at higher parameters and better withstands threading of more difficult steel grades.
Tool made in accordance with DIN 374, typical for MF (Metric Fine – metric fine-thread)
This standard provides:
an elongated working part,
slimmer geometry beneficial for precision machining,
high standard of workmanship ensuring thread repeatability.
Geometry B enables:
smooth tap entry into the material,
stable thread forming on the full length,
Optimal guidance in through-holes.
It is the most universal typeface used in workshop and industrial production.
Straight grooves provide:
linear tool guidance,
effective chip evacuation straight ahead,
Stable, controlled operation when tapping through holes in steel.
The Koronet SUPREME 900X MF10×1.0 tap is designed for machining:
structural and unalloyed steels,
alloy steels,
heat-treated steels,
materials with increased strength,
materials that tend to grow.
Recommended for work:
on CNC machine tools,
in precision heads of conventional machines.
Ideal where high tool life, process stability and repeatable MF thread quality are required.
