Koronet Machine Tap DIN 376 C HSSE TiCN It is a precision tool designed for internal threading in structural steels, low-alloy steels and high-strength materials. Made of high-speed cobalt steel HSSE and coated with TiCN, it provides increased wear resistance, stable operation and high durability when machining demanding metal materials.

HSSE steel – resistance and stability of the cutting process

The tap is made of HSSE cobalt high-speed steel, which offers:

  • high resistance to torsional loads,

  • increased hardness in high temperature conditions,

  • better abrasion resistance compared to classic HSS steel.

Thanks to these properties, the tool ensures a stable, repeatable cutting process and high thread quality, both in series production and in workshop work.

TiCN coating – increased resistance and lower friction

Advanced TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating guarantees:

  • significantly higher abrasion resistance than TiN coating,

  • reduced friction in the cutting zone,

  • better temperature control,

  • smoother surface of the thread made.

The dark grey graphite finish of the tool confirms the presence of a coating with high hardness and very good sliding properties.

C-geometry – ideal for blind holes

Type C (2-3 coils) is designed specifically for:

  • threading in blind holes,

  • working close to the bottom of the hole,

  • efficient chip evacuation upwards thanks to spiral grooves.

This geometry reduces the risk of chip jamming and provides a smoother, safer threading process.

DIN 376 standard – design for deeper threads

Compliance with DIN 376 means:

  • standard, longer grip,

  • the ability to thread deeper holes,

  • stable guidance of the tool during operation.

It is an ideal choice for conventional machines and CNC machine tools, where high precision and repeatability are required.

The DIN 376 C HSSE TiCN tap is recommended for machining:

  • structural steels,

  • low-alloy and alloy steels,

  • medium and high-strength materials,

  • Parts that require threading in blind holes.

The tool ensures high durability, smooth machining, effective chip evacuation and process reliability, even under demanding production conditions.
