The Koronet DIN 376 B M16 HSSE TiCN machine tap is a precision tool designed for internal threading in structural steels, low-alloy steels and medium and high-strength materials. Made of high-speed cobalt steel HSSE and coated with TiCN coating, it provides high wear resistance, stable operation and long service life under production conditions.

HSSE steel – high durability and resistance

The tap is made of high-quality high-speed cobalt steel HSSE, which is characterized by:

  • high resistance to torsional loads,

  • increased hardness at elevated temperatures,

  • better abrasion resistance compared to classic HSS steel.

This ensures a stable and repeatable threading process in both series production and workshop applications.

TiCN coating – less friction and longer service life

Advanced TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating guarantees:

  • much higher wear resistance than TiN coating,

  • reduced friction in the cutting zone,

  • better temperature control during operation,

  • smooth surface of the thread made.

The dark grey graphite finish of the tool confirms the use of a coating with high hardness and very good sliding properties.

Geometry B – for through-holes

Type B typeface is designed for:

  • threading in through holes,

  • effective chip evacuation towards the front of the tool,

  • stable and safe operation with machine threading.

This geometry reduces the risk of chip jamming and allows the cutting process to run smoothly.

DIN 376 standard – for deeper threads

Compliance with DIN 376 means:

  • an elongated working part of the tool,

  • the ability to make deeper threads,

  • stable tap guidance during operation.
